Adare
The quaint village of Adare is situated in the rolling countryside of County Limerick. This small village is steeped in history and visits to the Desmond Castle, Franciscan Priory, Trinitarian Priory and the world renowned Augustinian Priory are a must for their architecture alone.

Cliffs Of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland’s top Visitor attractions and are a designated UNESCO Geo Park. The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometres over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O’Brien’s Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South. The Cliffs of Moher take their name from a ruined promontory fort “Mothar” which was demolished during the Napoleonic wars to make room for a signal tower.

The admission charge includes entry to all public areas of the visitor centre building, all external areas of the visitor zone including the cliff pathways and platforms, unlimited vehicle parking and provision of first aid facilities and safety onsite. Admission to the Cliffs Exhibition – Atlantic Edge – is also included. The admission charge also contributes toward the visitor management and conservation provided at the Cliffs of Moher.

O’Brien’s Tower Ticket Prices
Ticket price includes access to the rooftop area that offers the best photo opportunity of the Cliffs and a souvenir historical information leaflet with a place name map of the Cliff area. The tower is capacity controlled and may be closed due to weather or private booking. Opening hours of the tower vary – please check on arrival for todays opening hours.

Frank McCourt Museum
When the young Frank Mc Court attended this Irish school, little did he know  one day he would win the Pulizer Prize - the most prestigious international literary award.  Neither was he to imagine that the very classroom in which he sat in Limerick, would go on to become the Frank McCourt Museum - attracting visitors from all around the world. This is a museum dedicated to the writer, Frank McCourt, most famous for, ‘Angela’s Ashes’, his memoir of his childhood in Limerick. This tudor-style, listed building, ‘Leamy’s School’, was where Frank and his brothers received their early education. Call to this great museum and experience the world of ‘Angela’s Ashes.’

King John’s Castle and the Treaty Stone
King Johns Castle is a perfect example of medieval grandeur. The castle dates as far back as the 13th century and is situated on the banks of the River Shannon and it offers magnificent views of the city. A magnificent find on the site are what remains of the medieval garrison and the soldier’s quarters which were discovered recently.

The Treaty Stone is the rock on which the Treaty of Limerick was said to be signed by William of Orange and put an end to the Siege of Limerick in 1691, in full view of the garrison in King John’s Castle located directly across the river from where the Stone is now on display.

Bunratty Castle & Folk Park
Bunratty Castle is one of Europe’s finest. Here you are invited to explore two wonderful experiences – the acclaimed 15th century Bunratty Castle and 19th century Bunratty Folk Park. The Castle is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland. Built in 1425 it was restored in 1954 to its former medieval splendour.

The folk park is a microcosm of Irish life in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Buildings range from the landlord’s house to the smallest peasant’s cottage, along with an assortment of village shops, a smithy, two watermills and an excellent collection of old farm implements. There are live demonstrations of bread-baking, weaving and pottery making.

The Hunt Museum

The Flying Boat Museum
Situated in the port town of Foynes in County Limerick is the location of the first headquarters for aviation in Ireland. The terminal was in operation from 1937-1945 and the museum is located in the original terminal building today. There were a number of different flying boats which would land on the Shannon River in Foynes with mainly passengers and mail.

The Flying Boats were used to transport passengers across the Atlantic from American to Europe with Foynes being the nearest landing destination in Europe. Many rich, famous and powerful people passed through Foynes such as John F. Kennedy, Ernest Hemingway, Crown Price of Saudi Arabia, Grace Fields & Humphrey Bogart.

Today the museum has the only replica in the world of a Boeing 314; of which no original remain intact.

Killaloe
