Bridging the gap between a casual café and a formal restaurant, the gBK (the George Bar & Kitchen) has grown in popularity in Limerick city since opening in 2006.
The gBK opens its doors daily from 7.00am to the wonderful smells of full Irish breakfast & freshly ground coffee, you can have a stack of toast & jam or a healthy bowl of porridge or why not a warm muffin ‘to-go’ with your freshly brewed tea or coffee to set you up for the day ahead.

The George Bar is a cozy local bar offering the finest drinks in a warm, relaxing and friendly atmosphere where conversation blossoms, the Wi-Fi is wonderful and the cappuccinos caress your taste buds. The George Bar offers something different with top class bar-food seven days a week in a modern and vibrant setting.
At night the bar turns into one of the cities quiet secrets, locals and tourists alike come to enjoy specially crafted cocktails or sip a glass of their favorite tipple. On the weekends the George turns into a lively venue with guests coming in for pre or post dinner drinks, Hens, Birthday parties & many other celebrations besides. Fridays bring live music from a select group of some of the regions bands. Saturdays see the welcome return of resident DJ’s Gary Connor & Dara Fahy, many are happily entertained until the early hours in the George.
