“Perfect for business..” By Peter K (5/5 Stars)
The business package is unsurpassed, the food, service and room were all top notch and amazing value, I can highly recommend this hotel above any of the established chains, the wi-fi was rock solid in my room and no extra charge for it like the chains in the area, if you’re in the area this hotel is a must… Visited May 2013

“nice hotel right in the heart of Limerick City” – By windyy (5/5 Stars)
Very accmodationg staff, great lift, resteraunt and good room. Loved being near the Shannon River and close to the city center, minutes away from the hotel. It was Bank Holiday with much activity. Also the train/bus station was within walking distance even with a bag on wheels. Visited May 2013
“Really good food at reasonable prices. Well done GBK.” – By PeeDiff (5/5 Stars)
Popped in with my family in the mid afternoon. We are 2 adults & 2 kids. The staff are very attentive and very pleasant. I had hake on a bed of potato and roasted veg with a lemon & olive oil sauce pesto. Very tasty and quite filling. My wife had a red Thai curry with saffron rice. She enjoyed it immensely. The kids had chicken goujons with mashed potato & gravy garnished with water cress (simple but very good sized portions- more like adult sized and my kids love water cress!). The kids also had chocolate & nut pancakes… they were divine
. Overall the food was delishes, very well presented (the kids weren’t forgotten about either on this front compared with some establishments). The service was excellent and the cost was reasonable. Well done. Visited April 2013

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights on a business trip. Great location, great food and very efficient staff. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good somedays buffet style someday table service served by a lovely lady Malini, who is very professional and efficient. she would remember my room number and would greet me by my name, always with a smile and also remembers that I have tea..very impressive. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant and again was fantastic, tasty food and great service. I would highly recommend this centrally located hotel. Stayed April 2013
“Idyllic Respite” – By miriama979 (5/5 Stars)
If you are looking for a beautiful welcoming break away from home this is the hotel for you. I stayed here for two nights with breakfast and a dinner. I have a mild physical disability and this hotel really had the facilities that supported me to enjoy my stay as independantly as possible with minimum fuss. It is one of the first hotels I have stayed in that has managed this aspect of my stay so well. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating and any request I had was met. The food both in the bar and restaurant were excellent with great choice and variety for those who want to be healthy or people like me who like to over do it sometimes – it was gorgeous. “A gem in Limerick” – By Richard F (5/5 Stars)
As i sit here back on my sofa in Cork on a lazy bank holiday monday, after a great weekend in Limerick visiting friends. I said to myself why not. Why not leave a review on Tripadvisor, i had as so many are these days to write a review but never felt the urge until now. My wife booked the George availing of one of the confusing array of special offers on their website but, been a keen shopper she skillfully picked out the best deal that included BB, one dinner and drinks. The room was well appointed, cosy and a good quality bed, just one grumble, need more pillows, the ones they have are like cardboard and go flat after two seconds, better quality and two per person isnt to much to ask in 2013. So the first night we met with friends in the George bar which was tipping away with a friendly atmosphere and the girls had cocktails expertly made by a guy called Shivam, we then move on to the Cornstore more more cocktails etc and then to the Orchard bar, would highly recommend both. The second night we dined in planning a more romantic evening, we had the chowder and spring roll to start and steaks for our mains. The food was fab and steaks cooked just right, I noted that the manager who was one the previous night when we arrived and went to bed was on again but in the kitchen helping his chef, i even saw him handing our desserts he’d done to our waiter which again were perfect. We moved into the bar after the meal for one more drink and were warmly greeted again by Shivam. Breakfast was good both mornings served by a lovely woman who always seemed to smile, which makes a huge difference. Both my wife and i have said we would be back again on our next trip to Limerick. Special thanks to the management at the George who’s team made it all seem effortlessly seamless. This i say with confidence as a fellow hotelier. Well done. Visited March 2013

“Ideal location and comfortable hotel” - By Louise99Ireland (5/5 Stars)
We stayed here for three nights and have a great experience from start to finish. Check in was quick and room was ready even though we were a little early. We ate in the bar on two nights and food and service was excellent. Rooms were cosy and even though there were hen and stag parties in the hotel we heard no noise. Hotel is ideally located for shopping in Limerick as its only minutes from main shopping areas. We parked in the car park at Dunnes stores very near hotel and rate was €18 from Thursday to Sunday. Great service and staff will definitely be back. Visited March 2013
“Best Hotel in Limerick” – By CdnWarthog (5/5 Stars)
Probably my favourite hotel in Ireland is The George Boutique Hotel in Limerick City. I have stayed there before (although for some reason I didn’t review it) and this time I decided to stay there again. I stayed a total of 5 nights, the first night after my arrival and then 4 nights the next week. I was not disappointed with my choice. My joy started when I made my reservation. From my past visits I knew that they offered a bed & breakfast option, but I could not find it on their website. It was only available for business travellers and only for one night at a time. So I decided to call them directly. When I explained what I wanted to do and that I had stayed there before the reservations clerk looked up my file and was more than happy to accommodate my request. What I really liked was that once he accessed my file he called me by name for the rest of the conversation. My flight arrived from Toronto (via Newark) at 7:00 am. My daughter picked me up at the airport and suggested that I go to the hotel even though it was only 8:15. I was greeted at the desk by Elvyta who welcomed me back and said that since they knew I would be arriving early they had my room ready. Did I mention that it was 8:15 in the morning! The room was a good size with a very comfortable double sized bed, a couch, two chairs a small table and a desk. There was also a small fridge. Now anyone who has been to Limerick knows that the municipal water tastes awful so having a fridge to keep water and beer in was a definite bonus. The only complaint I have about the room was the desk and desk chair. The chair was too low and to type at the desk I needed to sit on two pillows. Once suitably raised I could not put my legs comfortably under the desk and had to type with my arms outstretched. For a hotel that considers itself a business person’s hotel this is unforgiveable. The room was made-up every day and always looked very clean. The faucet on the sink needed to be fiddled with to ensure that it was completely shut off. The housekeeper did not do this so the hotel is wasting a lot of water. On the Tuesday night of my stay my daughter met me after work and we decided to have a drink in the lobby bar. It had been a particularly bad day for both of us and we were quite distracted. We left the bar without paying the bill. When I returned about an hour later I realised my mistake and went in to settle my bill. When I explained my error, the barman’s only comment was “we knew you would be back”. As I mentioned earlier I availed myself of the b&b option. They charged me an additional €5 for the breakfast. Some mornings it was buffet style while on others it was table service. The meal was always excellent with a good choice of breads and fruit to accompany the hot meal. There was also excellent porridge that I ate every day. My flight home left at 9:00 am which meant that I needed to be at the airport at 7:00. Since breakfast was not served until 7:00 I enquired about the possibility of adjusting my bill. Of course they did this with no question. All in all great service and a great room at a fantastic price. If I have call to return to Limerick there is no question where I will be staying. – Visited March 2013

“Excellent hotel” – By Cricketireland (5/5 Stars)
We stayed for one night on a Friday at the George in a superior room. Upon our arrival the check in was very smooth and efficient. We were extremely pleased with our room which was light, airy and modern. The Cupcakes and personalised greeting card that had been left in the room were very thoughtful, and this added extra surpassed my expectations. We had some expertly prepared cocktails in the bar, which had a great ambience, before heading out for the evening. The room was very quiet for a central Limerick hotel and the bed supremely firm and comfortable. We had breakfast the following morning, where we were swiftly seated in the restaurant and enjoyed a delicious cooked to order breakfast. I would certainly return to the George in Limerick. while we were there we met all limerick roses who were in for lunch and then we also met Dennis Taylor who was staying In the George ,We left the hotel feeling relaxed and pampered after having such a welcome and fantastic stay. – Visited March 2013

“One of very few hotels that gets food right” – By Simon R (4/5 Stars)
No matter how good the hotels we stay in are I’m always sceptical of eating in Hotel Restaurants. It tends to be one bad experience after another, with the only exception I’d had before my stay in the George being the Castlecourt in Westport. We stayed in the George Limerick Friday 15/02/13 and initially our intention was to eat out in Limerick but my wife suggested we look at the menu in the hotel and perhaps just sit & relax without going too far, it being our first night without kids in a long time. I reluctantly went along. I enjoyed one of the best meals I have ever been served in a hotel Restaurant, with prompt polite service and a warm atmosphere, without the loud music. Great value…. great location….. excellent food. Stayed February 2013
“Excellent” – By Johnshaughnessy (5/5 Stars)
Went along with wife for pre-Valentine’s day meal at hotel and it was a most enjoyable experience. Food was absolutely excellent – missus had huge steak and I went for traditional fish and chips. Starters and desserts were way above par. Most important of all, in view of value for money, just could not be surpassed. All in for around 42 euro -agree, it was the early start menu, one that was varied and interesting. Nice to have full view of the kitchen area. Staff most welcoming and service was A1. All in all, unbelievable value.
Might add that it was not our first visit to the hotel – have had other simiar experiences in the past. Stayed February 2013
“Great Hotel in Brilliant City Location” – By Ms_McLovinTravelling (4/5 Stars)
I stayed here recently for two nights on a work christmas party and couldn’t fault one aspect of it. Hotel is very centrally located and easy to find. Lobby is on the 1st floor which has to be accessed by a lift from the ground floor. Lobby area, bar and restaurant area is very nice and there always seems to be a great buzz about the place. Had breakfast in the hotel on the 1st morning of my stay. Lots of variety from wholegrain porridge to full irish, couldn’t fault it. Food was both fresh and tasty and service was good, even for a very busy sunday morning. I had a double room on the 2nd floor. Room was a little on the small side but seeing as I wasnt spending too much time there that didnt really impact on me. Decor is very nice & trendy. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would have no hesitation staying at this hotel again, in fact if in Limerick again I wont even bother looking up any other hotels will just go straight to George Boutiques webpage. “Absolutely Perfect” – By Shane H (5/5 Stars)
Recently stayed here for two nights for a Christmas Party. First off it was a seriously reasonable rate for the group. The hotel itself was absolutely sensational. Right in the heart of Limerick City, with easy access to all that Limerick has to offer. The staff in the GBK are exceptional and went above and beyond to cater for our every need. There was no request to big or small. The rooms were absolutely beautiful with everything you could possibly need to feel at home. The bed was amazing and I had a great night sleep and I must admit that the hotel and rooms were the cleanest I have ever encountered in Ireland. Every member of our group had glowing references for this hotel and will be returning. Highly Recommended. Stayed December 2012
“Parents Wedding Anniversary” – By Trixibelle87 (5/5 Stars)
I booked my parents in for an overnight stay here a fortnight ago – and mentioned to the girl when booking it that they were 30 years married. When they arrived to check in they were congratulated on their anniversary, their room had a further congratulatory note with chocolates. They raved about the hotel, including their room and the staff and how well they were treated. Thank You for looking after them! Stayed November 2012
