“5 STAR Christmas Party Night Experience!!” - By sharon s (5/5 Stars)
Just had a Christmas party night booked in the hotel for 13 women. Great deal on overnight rates. Great spacious rooms. Excellent location. Staff are very polite and courteous and are so genuinely friendly. Food was amazing and generous portion sizes, VERY pleased with menu choices. Entertainment was great, The hotel bar has a genuine friendly feel and a great atmosphere. Everything about this hotel is amazing and I am planning the next getaway already. Thanks to Altaf and the staff for looking after us. Stayed November 2014

“A great little find” - By AnnieLu2 (4/5 Stars)
On a recent return to Limerick it was great to find this bar on the first floor of the George. A very different hotel to the old George hotel that used to be here. There were comfy chairs, great staff, good cocktails nice decor and atmosphere. Only issue was when the DJ started the music was a little loud for the crowd in the bar . Other than that a great spot for cocktails. Visited November 2014

“An absolute treasure” – By smallfarmer (5/5 Stars)
I stayed here for 1 night recently. We were on a night out in Limerick and this was my first time to the city. I have to say the warmth and atmosphere of this hotel was first class. I loved the place. The welcome that greeted us at front desk was as friendly as I’ve ever been afforded. The room was great. Very comfortable, bathrooms were excellent and the shower had loads of pressure and of course hot water. I loved the mirrors. So many hotel rooms that I have stayed in only have small mirrors but at the George Boutique Hotel you get a full length on the door, a super size behind the vanity and a shaving mirror was was excellent. Small touches but appreciated all the same. Hotel was spotless and the price was astounding for the level of comfort and location. I will absolutely 100% return to Limerick and the George Boutique Hotel. The only little thing that I will mention is the parking. It’s just around the corner and super convenient really but I only parked overnight from 8pm until 11am on a Sunday night and it still cost me €7.50 so even with free overnight validated concession it was pricey but that in no way influences how much I love this hotel. “What an experience!” - By Jobyrne1 (5/5 Stars)
We stayed here on Saturday 8th November for my sisters hen. There were 19 of us on the night and we couldn’t have been taken care of any better. In the run up to the hen I was regularly ringing reception to change our booking and everyone was just so helpful. They also advised me on how best to get everyone checked in quickly on the Saturday.
We had booked in for dinner on the Saturday night and the food was amazing. There was huge choice on the menu even though it was a set menu and we all came out of the restaurant stuffed! Breakfast the next morning was excellent again. The pancake maker was a big hit! I really couldn’t praise the staff that we dealt with highly enough. If you’re looking for a relaxed and easy night in Limerick, then The George is definitely the place to stay! Stayed November 2014

“Ideal for business or pleasure” - By DazLaw (5/5 Stars)
I stay here whenever I visit Limerick for business. A great location, good bar, great breakfast with a cool pancake machine. The rooms are well designed and furnished. The parking is reasonable and close by. Loads of good places to eat and drink within a short walking distance. Go to Tom Connors for the best Guinness you will ever have. Stayed October 2014

“Rare find” – By eye-spy-hotels (5/5 stars)
I recently stayed at this lovely city center hotel as part of a reunion party. I firstly must compliment the team from the front office to the restaurant. And will be returning on my next trip to Limerick, would recommend to all looking for a comfortable room with good amenities. A special mention must go to the lovely team in the restaurant who looked after our party so well, nothing was too much effort and Anna was wonderful as was the manager Justin who we delbt with weeks before the night and who made sure all were looked after and all were happy. We had been told about this hotel by friends and about Justin & Altaf the GM. Thank you guys. Stayed October 2014

“Great Experience at The George ” - By ClaireCoughlan (5/5 stars)
Stayed at The George in October with a group of friends. Had a really lovely experience. Check in was great, our bedrooms were so nice. Really modern and spotlessly clean. Very spacious especially for 2 girls sharing! Enjoyed a really nice meal in the restaurant and some cocktails after. Staff were really nice and looked after us all so well. Hotel is so central it’s perfect for anyone looking to stay in the city. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Stayed October 2014

“Well located, home from home, Friendly Staff” - By vahalla1962 (5/5 Stars)
i was on business and stayed for two days at this hotel, beds were comfortable, rooms were a good size, the menu for the restaurant was fantastic and even better when you availed of the early bird menu, the gentleman that served me was named Florian and he could not do more for me, from service to manners, this lad had it all, because of the excellient service and quality of the food, i decided to eat both nights at the restaurant and again was served by another lad called lukas and again, everything was perfect, I also had a couple of drinks at the bar and was served by a reall nice guy called andrew, he is not a rubber type barman, he is what i remember as the orginal type barmen that likes to interact with his customers, he wouldnt even take the price of a drink from me. he just actually enjoys his job and it reflects at the bar. nice work everybody , :) Stayed September 2014

“Fantastic all round!” - By killarneygirl2014 (5/5 Stars)
Everything in the hotel was just fabulous. There was parking nearby which you had to pay for but the hotel gives a concession, the interior of the hotel is really modern and clean, as are the rooms. The bar is very nice and the food and service is outstanding also. Really happy with our stay there and will be going back. Stayed September 2014

“Fantastic Hospitality” - By Daryl D (5/5 stars)
I stayed in this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights for a short break and I was delighted with everything the hotel had to offer. The bar and restaurant were fantastic with fantastic food from the restaurant. The rooms were spotless and spacious with everything we could need. The location of the hotel was ideal as it is minutes from everything and parking is only around the corner. All the staff were so helpful, as it was my first time in Limerick they were sure to help me find my way with highlights for bars and restaurants. I must say the hotel has a real asset with the Night Manager Berita, who was always so kind and helpful to us during our stay. She is certainly a credit to the hotel. I’d recommend here if you are spending a few days in Limerick city. I’ll definitely be back. Stayed September 2014

“Really nice small hotel – good value.” - By travellingMs (4/5 stars)
A little tricky to find. It is actually around the corner and up on the second floor from O’Connell st. If you are travelling with a GPS as we were, check the actual entry address with the hotel. Don’t worry- there is a glass lift and an escalator. Easy. Parking is okay, though not attached to the hotel – about a half block away. All fine. Very pleasantly presented public areas and rooms. Big comfy bed, quiet and well located. An easy walk to the castle. Restaurants & pubs will be suggested by helpful staff. Good TV. As with most Irish hotels, shower over bath with plumbing that is extremely impressive. An enjoyable stay. Lovely eateries down along the water a block away. Stayed September 2014

“Value for Money” - By Pat N (4/5 Stars)
Travelled to Limerick and spent the night in The George. Staff were friendly and welcoming and decor was modern. Stayed in a single room which was compact. The bar served craft beers and the breakfast was good value. Can’t comment on the kitchen as I had dinner elsewhere. Overall I would stay here again. Stayed September 2014

“My romantic getaway” - By Richard A (5/5 Stars)
I had the pleasure of going to stay at the George Boutique Hotel in Limerick with my partner for a romantic getaway. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the hotel is so central. The views from our room were amazing. The wifi was free and really fast. We had this lovely balcony and we sat out and watched the sun set. We had dinner in the hotel and the food was lovely. After dinner they had a live band playing. The bed was really comfortable and we slept very well in it. The next morning we had breakfast in bed. Was really nice there. I want to go back again!! Stayed August 2014

“Hen Party One Night Stay” - By Dolores N (5/5 Stars)
I have to say I really enjoyed my one Saturday night stay with the girls in this hotel. We had a hen party for 26 ladies and we were catered for to the highest level. Fabulous hotel, hotel rooms & food. Great group rates available. Centrally located lets you see the city without clocking up the miles. The little additions added to the room for the hen herself were a lovely touch. We arrived by bus so we didn’t have any parking issues. Stayed August 2014

“Worth it for the breakfast” - By BostonTourGuide (5/5 Stars)
My husband and I stayed here on the third leg of our Ireland honeymoon. Neither of us had been to Limerick before, so we used TripAdvisor to choose a hotel. This one was a definite winner. You have to do your homework before arriving if you’re driving into the city. We parked our rental car in the Harvey’s Quay car park and left it there for the two days of our stay. It was perfectly safe and the cost for 48 hours was 17 Euro. The hotel was not at all hard to find, but we knew what to look for. There is a large banner down the side of the building on Shannon Street, so had no trouble finding it as we drove past. We arrived at the midpoint of our honeymoon and were delighted to find that there is a free laundry on the second floor for guests! There is only one washer and dryer, but it was a quiet Sunday, so we had no trouble getting our laundry done. They even provide free soap. We booked a King room without breakfast, because we had become wary of paying breakfast included rates and then not liking the breakfast. This was the outlier on that measure. The buffet breakfast was amazing. I enjoyed the Full Irish buffet while my husband was fascinated by the pancake machine. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was quiet and on a corner, so we had two walls of windows. It was beautiful. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom everything one could need. The lighting in the hotel is my only complaint – and it’s a nit-picky complaint. It all modern, tiny inset lighting in the restaurant and lobby. Not at all flattering. But sufficient. We would definitely recommend this hotel to Limerick-bound travelers. It’s a little pricey, but entirely worth the stay. Stayed August 2014

“Excellent Hotel” –  By billyceltic (5/5 Stars)
Took my parents to Limerick so that my dad could see his brother who isn’t very well. Searched for a hotel through tripadvisor and liked this hotel, then managed to get a very good deal from SteanaLine Ferries. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff, really friendly on reception, all very knowledgeable about the hotel and Limerick. The rooms were very good, a lot bigger than I expected, no noise from the main street out side. The bathroom was immaculate, the bed was so big that my wife and I felt we had a double bed each. A small fridge in the room was a nice extra touch, although there was no fridge in my parents room. Breakfast was self service with a good range with a pancake machine which my wife loved! The car parking that some people have complained about on here was no problem, just a short walk from the hotel, and it felt like a very secure and safe car park. We had one night in the hotel bar with my cousins who came to see us and found the prices reasonable compared with the local bars. The hotel is situated very central in Limerick and everything is within walking distance.  Would we stay in this hotel again if we return to Limerick? A resounding YES!!! Don’t think I would even search any other hotels in the area as this one is so good. Stayed July 2014

“Trendy Boutique and Modern Hotel Great Location” - By CDevane (5/5 Stars)
Spent Tuesday evening at the George Boutique Hotel, was welcomed by Reelika & Heather who were very helpful and efficient on check-in. Had a group dinner for 19 ladies from start to finish was superb. Florian out waiter was just gem, no request was too big and always had a smile on his face. Comfortable beds and breakfast was excellent – great choice from cold to hot foods. Free WiFi was a bonus. Very convenient to city centre to head down for a few drinks. Cant but mention the lovely reception we enjoyed on arrival from the General Manager Altaf Khan. Stayed August 2014

Having recently been in this hotel with a large group of people I can highly recommend it. The staff went above and beyond what was expected of them. They were friendly and courteous . We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on two nights and the food was fabulous. The hotel is very centrally located and within walking distance to everything. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning. Stayed August 2014

“Very Proud Moment” - By gb200584 (5/5 Stars)
I stayed in The George Boutique hotel from the 5th to the 7th of August with a friend that was visiting from New Zealand. She was only visiting for a short time so I wanted to make sure that she had a great time. From the moment we walked into the hotel we were greeted with warmth that I had feared no longer existed. I had (and this will not come as a surprise to anyone who know me) got lost and parked in the wrong car park, when I told the lady at reception where I had parked she let me know that I had not parked in the car park that is allocated to the hotel, she gave me a map and directions with no hesitation. We were checked in with ease and given all of the appropriate information ( Dinner, Breakfast etc). Our room was airy and comfortable with everything you could possibly need (Including the cutest little Cafetiere to make coffee). We dined in the hotel both evenings and had breakfast in the hotel both mornings, the service and food are something hotel management should be very proud of. On check out our parking ticket was validated which meant that we only paid €14 for 2 days parking. I can guarantee if you stay here you will want to return. Thank you to all the staff in The George Boutique hotel for making this a trip to remember. Will most certainly be back. Stayed August 2014

“Great Staff, Clean Rooms, Beautiful food & perfect location.” - By kayyeo (5/5 Stars)
An amazing stay start to finish. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Our room was absolutely spotless, also lovely and quiet. Right in the heart of Limerick City. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was delicious!! The staff treated the kids like their own, we felt so at home. The hotel itself is located on the main street of Limerick City surrounded by restaurants, shops and bars. We never needed to take a cab as everything in walking distance. The beds were so comfortab we really did not want to leave. Would HIGHLY recommend!!!!! Stayed August 2014

“Thank you lovely George!” - By pearl f ( 5/5 Stars)
Eamon, Pearl and Benedict Flanagan stayed for 5 nights from 15 July and could not praise the George more highly. Everything was perfect, food great, disabled accommodation for Pearl and Eamon excellent with the essential vertical bars present in bathroom. All staff were helpful and ‘can-do’ throughout our stay. We thanked excellent chefs and one lovely Turkish chef Gursoy was memorably kind to us. Many Irish relations came and went sometimes around 20 on one evening; there was always good food and drinks available. Lastly, it was good to have ‘euronews’ available on one lounge screen. Can’t think of anywhere else to stay in Limerick! Stayed July 2014

“always fantastic!” - By Shoes38  (5/5 Stars)
the George is a fantastic city centre hotel in Limerick. I have stayed here seven times and I cannot fault the place at all. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Limerick. It’s got everything from fantastic city centre location, clean , comfortable rooms, extremely friendly and helpful staff and great food. Don’t even bother looking at any other hotels- book the George!! Stayed July 2014

“One night in heaven!” – By Darragh C (5/5 Stars)
Spent a night here and I would go……no, I will go back again! Absolutely fantastic hotel right in the heart of Limerick City! I realized when we arrived that I had messed up my bookings and accidentally made it for the following night, the receptionist was brilliant and quickly made corrections to my booking! The rooms are very spacious and luxurious! We had a view over looking O’Connell St, and yet we didn’t hear a bit of noise from the street, even from the morning traffic! Stayed June 2014

“Date night bliss” - By annemarielisalouise (5/5 Stars)
Hubby and I stayed here for a ‘date night’ experience, it was relaxing and enjoyable…we had champers and strawberries waiting for us on arrival, the dinner at the on site restaurant was delicious and we slept soundly…the only downfall was that this particular offer suggested that we would have ‘breakfast in bed’ as well as a late check out but we were told there was no ‘breakfast in bed’ option…the breakfast however was lovely, and as we were up and dressed we didn’t avail of the late check out….great spot as its centrally located, staff were helpful and pleasant (especially the bar man who made our cocktails!) and the food is delicious…. “Magical Stay” - By Carmel142013 (5/5 Stars)
We have stayed here on a number of occasions and have enjoyed each and every one.
We enjoyed a beautiful meal with a bottle of wine included and enjoyed super entertainment by the Wise Guys Band. One of the best nights from every point of view. Staff fab from reception to restaurant to Bar. We left our IPhone Charger in the room on check out and housekeeping were fantastic in arranging for us to get it back. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to our next visit. Well done to all. Stayed May 2014

“The best service and great hotel” - By Sharon D (5/5 Stars)
This hotel was a treasure. Great location in downtown limerick and the best service of our trip so far. The lovely Reelika could not do enough for us. I booked a disabled room which slept four and it was very roomy. Reelika came down to the car upon our arrival to help us with our suitcases, how good is that! She then offered to book us a medieval banquet we had expressed interest in for that night, so helpful. Then when we had overslept on the last morning she offered us to check out at 12pm instead of the usual 11am. This hotel is beautiful and it has a lovely restaurant and bar. We had tea one night at the restaurant it was lovely and not pricey. The breakfast was buffet style and had all you could want, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, tomato, potatoes, porridge, cereals, fruits, pastries, toast, even a pancake machine where you can make your own pancakes with the press of a button, lots of spreads and they will bring you a pot of tea or coffee to your table. Great location, great hotel would definitely recommend it. Only downfall is if you have a car the carpark isn’t actually at the hotel but close by and whilst it’s free from 6pm to 9am outside those hours you need to pay. Stayed May 2014

“Top class in every way”- By Catseyes1999 (5/5 Stars)
I recently had the pleasure of dining and staying at The George for a friends 50th birthday. I should start by staying that the George is set in a great city centre location with all the main nightlife and shopping areas on its doorstep. From the time you encounter the staff on the front desk till you leave you’ll be impressed with the warm and friendly service you’ll receive. The bedrooms were spotless and well stocked with the little extras. The bar is an airy space with a great ambience and an ideal spot to have a coffee, something light to eat and a chat during the day or to relax with a cocktail or glass of wine with friends in the evening. The food in the restaurant is delicious and well presented. I noticed that they can provide a garda vetted babysitter if you are travelling with children and fancy a few hours to explore the city with your partner. We had a great night at the function we attended and I would recommend the venue for a birthday, Anniversary celebration etc. This is the type of hotel you’ll return to again and again. “Great weekend away….” – By Maria B (5/5 Stars)
Staff at The George were most accommadating, just enough attention. The food was of a very high quality and waiting staff were charming. Our room was spotless clean and very comfortable. It was on the 6th floor so far away from people who like to party to the small hours. This is a busy and lively hotel, a real good feeling about the place. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere. Love the idea of the buffet breakfast and the really cool pancake maker. Reception staff were attentive and warm. The hotel is ideally located, in the heart of the city. Parking fees are well affordable. A great place to stay. Top marks! Stayed April 2014

“Must stay! Best value for money, most accommodating staff, fantastic atmosphere!” - By Joy H (5/5 Stars)
Stayed here on 5th april 2014 for my sister’s hen party. From when I first made inquiries the hotel provided the utmost help and advice. They gave the best package for a hen party and personalised the experience by making menus that I requested. Justin (restaurant manager) in particular was very helpful. Hotel was perfect, spotless, stylish rooms, central location, walking distance to every amenity. very positive experience, enjoyed every aspect. Every member of staff we met was extremely nice, polite and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel, best value for money, satisfaction, service, location, cleanliness and great staff. “(Another!) enjoyable stay in the George Boutique” – By CiaranBP (5/5 Stars)
I stayed at the George Boutique last year for a family function, and stayed there again for two nights last weekend (28th Feb-1st March), as I was in Limerick for a weekend conference. The conference was in MIC and the hotel was perfectly located – very central; 10-15-minute walk to the campus. In my free time, I went walking around the city and was always no more than 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The two nights were most enjoyable; had lunch and dinner there one day, and the food was gorgeous. The room was a great size, the bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. On both my stays here, I have found the staff to be truly brilliant, and among the hotel’s best assets. I want to particularly mention Kevin (on reception), who, in the lashing rain, walked me to the car-park down the street so he could open the door for me, as my hands were full. It was a very decent thing to do (and I think he was on his break at the time!). To conclude, I had a second very positive experience staying here, and knowing that I will be back in Limerick in the future, I will be sure to stay here again. Stayed February 2014

“Best Stay inn Ireland” – By wnsheather (5/5 Stars)
I cannot say enough about the staff at the George in Ireland. So warm and pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were clean and inviting especially after a long flight over the Atlantic and then the drive from Dublin. Our flight was delayed coming in so we arrived very late but they were ready for us and even had some food waiting. The restaurant was lovely and festive in the evenings. I will stay here on my next trip through! Stayed February 2014

We loved everything from the moment we arrived with a friendly greeting at check in . I can’t compliment the staff enough, so helpful, so friendly. “Nice Surprise in Limerick” – By mccscrum (5/5 Stars)
I just brought 30 people for an event in Limerick and we stayed two nights at the George Boutique Hotel. The staff was amazing – they were courteous and thoughtful, and really sought to make our experience at the hotel a very positive one. The group was located in four different types of rooms and each one was more than adequate – they were actually great. First, the rooms were very, very clean. I did not see mold in the bathroom nor was anything out of place. The hotel provided more than enough towels and other essentials of the bathroom. I do wish that they would provide bar soap vice using a dispenser but I am sure that they have their reasons for such use. The water pressure was good at 5 in the morning, 9 in the morning, 5 at night, and again at 11 at night. The beds were in good shape and the linens were not worn nor did they look dirty. The heating and windows worked very well. The restaurant and bar staff were friendly and helpful, and all ordered items were delivered promptly. Heck, we even received more than one ice cube in our glasses. I would not only recommend this hotel to others – I would stay there again even if I was traveling alone. Stayed February 2014

“Xmas party shannaigans” – By Fiorella C (5/5 Stars)
The george boutique hotel was reccommended to us upon choosing a venue to host our gathering. Brochure promised a fun filled ,entertaining night with good food washed down with sweet cocktails and all to which it delivered on. We were seated in a timely manner and staff were ensuring our comfort. They were polite, friendly and attentive to all our demands. Our orders were taken and the menu had such a variety we were spoilt for choice from mouth watering starters to tongue tickling desserts. Could not fault the presentation or service and no delay inbetween courses which was even better. We had planned just to make the george our kick off venue and leave right after the meal until we were made feel so comfortable it was impossible to leave. the entertainment , banter with staff and other cliental occupying the venue was electric . It was a night to remember and one to which we will speak of fondly for many yrs to come . Until next yr George Boutique :) thanks to all the staff.. Stayed December 2013

“Everything you need for you XMAS party in one place! Brilliant!” - By TGx2 (5/5 Stars)
Had our Christmas party last weekend in the George. We had great fun, place was buzzing and the food was wonderful. Duck Spring roll was a surprise starter for the festive season and it was lovely. I avoid Turkey and Ham until Christmas day so being able to have a sirlion steak cooked to order was wonderful. We had intended to go up to Cruises Street after dinner but between a band, a magician and Santa giving out shots we did not leave the George Bar until 1:30 AM. Stayed over as was shopping the next day (a la hangover). Room was lovely and a great deal because I was part of a party. Staff were great and Rory looked after us really well at the table. Our Glasses were never empty. Stayed December 2013

“Limerick Cricket Club Awards Night ” - By Niranjan S (4/5 Stars)
The Limerick Cricket Club Annual Awards Night was held in this fantastic hotel I should say both for its prime city centre location and it’s ambience and great customer care. Altaf Khan the GM was very kind and took great care not only of the adults but the children too. I would definitely visit GBH for both pleasure and business. Definitely on my lists of outings!!! “it’s the little things…” – By Harrissays (5/5 Stars)
One night in Limerick. The George is right in the centre of the city and so, perfect for my purposes. I would have been content with a reasonably comfortable room, a good bed and bathroom and a decent breakfast. I got more than that. The room was more spacious than I expected, the decor easy on the eye with an excellent bed. The real treat however, an unusual and a very welcome surprise, was a cafetiere and a small pack of real coffee. Breakfast was the usual buffet, but again with welcome additions such as honey and walnuts for the porridge and the option of eggs cooked to order. Malini made sure mine were over-easy as requested and she was happy to make me an espresso instead of the regular coffee. It made for a warm and relaxing start to the day. A short visit, but leaving me with the pleasing sense that at the George guests get what they pay for along with the extra little things that make all the difference. Stayed November 2013

“Help I badly needed” - By Natasha R (5/5 Stars)
My car broke down outside the George Hotel last weekend and the help I got from one of the security guard’s was fantastic and i was not even a guest at the hotel. I will never forget it. I would recommend this hotel to any one just based on the kindness i received from the staff. Stayed November 2013

“By George, more nights away like this” – By Ciaran P (5/5Stars)
Stayed for a Friday night in October. We loved the novel entrance and were very impressed with the welcome from the Staff at Reception plus a strong “Can Do” attitude. The room was Stylish, Clean and Quiet, loved the Buns (Sorry Cup Cakes) in the Room, a lovely touch. We had a lovely meal in the Hotel Restaurant and the Craic was so good in the Bar afterwards with excellent entertainment, that the “The George” was the extent of Limerick City nightlife we got to see. Great Buffet breakfast, oh and lots of smiles from the staff, always great to feel welcome and that your custom is valued. Really Great. Stayed October 2013

“Simply the Best” – By derravaragh(5/5Stars)
I returned to the George recently and was even more impressed than before, This hotel has the best location, food and beds in Limerick. The staff are wonderful and can not do enough for you. we eat in the restaurant and can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever had in a Hotel. We stayed on a Friday night and there was a band playing and people were up dancing and having great fun, so nice to be entertained. Would highly recommend this Hotel , great value for money. “Great for our group” - By BobMc2013 (4/5Stars)
I was there with a group of 85 persons staying for four nights with dinner. With a group that large you would expect at least some complaints. I am happy to say that we did not receive any complaints! Most everyone was happy with the location and the front desk staff was very helpful and responsive to any questions or concerns among our people. Manager, Mr. Altaf Khan and his staff went out of their way to insure that our people had an enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Stayed September 2013

“Great food, Great service” – By Gary G (5/5Stars)
Sept 5 thru 14 we stayed at The George Boutique Hotel. We were very pleased with the accommodations recommend it highly. In addition, we want to say what great service we received at The George restaurant. Specifically by our waitress Malini!! She was friendly, efficient, and very knowledgeable of the restaurants operation. We believe she should be given added responsibility. Stayed September 2013

“Birthday party at the George Boutique” – By Valerie C (5/5Stars)
I was planning a surprise party for a friend who was visiting home from Quatar with his wife and kids. At a loss as to what to do, I thought of the George Boutique as I knew the Hotel was lovely and the food is top notch from a previous experience. They were fantastic in handling everything! We were a Latin dance group back in the day and the George did up a playlist of Latin music to accommodate this :-) Finger food was superb, staff were so helpful and the atmosphere was electric! Dancing went on till the wee hours of the morning. My friend, his wife and young kids booked into the hotel and availed of the babysitting service so we all could relax and enjoy the night. The memories and the drinks flowed, and we couldn’t of asked for a better venue :-) Stayed August 2013

“Excellent! I wish all hotels were like this!”- By Niamh S – (5/5 Stars)
I stayed in this hotel for one night after my graduation in University of Limerick, and I can’t recommend it enough. It has a great central city location from where you can walk everywhere. The room was beautiful, clean, modern, warm and very comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was great, with a varied choice and a full Irish. Our late check-out time was a bonus. However, the best part of the stay was the staff. They couldn’t help me enough, answered every question I asked with a smile and were extremely professional and courteous. When making my reservation, the staff offered me a fabulous discount as I was graduating, which I thought was a lovely touch. The entire experience enhanced my graduation and I can’t praise it enough. Reviewed July 2013

“10 out of 10 for Hen” – By Tess1985 – (5/5 Stars)
We booked 20 guests as part of The George Boutique’s Hen package. I must say the staff, most noticably Reelika and Agatha were the most helpful staff I’ve met in an Irish hotel in a very long time. The food was delicious (I recommend the curry) and the accomodation was very clean and comfortable. The residents’ bar was openend until late which suited the ladies and as part of the package they gave us a late check out of 1PM. It was a very positive experience and the I would most defenitely recommend it for Hens and individual stays. Visitied June 2013

“Really good food at reasonable prices. Well done GBK.” – By PeeDiff (5/5 Stars)
Popped in with my family in the mid afternoon. We are 2 adults & 2 kids. The staff are very attentive and very pleasant. I had hake on a bed of potato and roasted veg with a lemon & olive oil sauce pesto. Very tasty and quite filling. My wife had a red Thai curry with saffron rice. She enjoyed it immensely. The kids had chicken goujons with mashed potato & gravy garnished with water cress (simple but very good sized portions- more like adult sized and my kids love water cress!). The kids also had chocolate & nut pancakes… they were divine :-) . Overall the food was delishes, very well presented (the kids weren’t forgotten about either on this front compared with some establishments). The service was excellent and the cost was reasonable. Well done. Visited April 2013

A gem in Limerick”By Richard F (5/5 Stars)
As i sit here back on my sofa in Cork on a lazy bank holiday monday, after a great weekend in Limerick visiting friends. I said to myself why not. Why not leave a review on Tripadvisor, i had as so many are these days to write a review but never felt the urge until now. My wife booked the George availing of one of the confusing array of special offers on their website but, been a keen shopper she skillfully picked out the best deal that included BB, one dinner and drinks. The room was well appointed, cosy and a good quality bed, just one grumble, need more pillows, the ones they have are like cardboard and go flat after two seconds, better quality and two per person isnt to much to ask in 2013. So the first night we met with friends in the George bar which was tipping away with a friendly atmosphere and the girls had cocktails expertly made by a guy called Shivam, we then move on to the Cornstore more more cocktails etc and then to the Orchard bar, would highly recommend both. The second night we dined in planning a more romantic evening, we had the chowder and spring roll to start and steaks for our mains. The food was fab and steaks cooked just right, I noted that the manager who was one the previous night when we arrived and went to bed was on again but in the kitchen helping his chef, i even saw him handing our desserts he’d done to our waiter which again were perfect. We moved into the bar after the meal for one more drink and were warmly greeted again by Shivam. Breakfast was good both mornings served by a lovely woman who always seemed to smile, which makes a huge difference. Both my wife and i have said we would be back again on our next trip to Limerick. Special thanks to the management at the George who’s team made it all seem effortlessly seamless. This i say with confidence as a fellow hotelier. Well done. Visited March 2013

“Best Hotel in Limerick” – By CdnWarthog (5/5 Stars)
Probably my favourite hotel in Ireland is The George Boutique Hotel in Limerick City. I have stayed there before (although for some reason I didn’t review it) and this time I decided to stay there again. I stayed a total of 5 nights, the first night after my arrival and then 4 nights the next week. I was not disappointed with my choice. My joy started when I made my reservation. From my past visits I knew that they offered a bed & breakfast option, but I could not find it on their website. It was only available for business travellers and only for one night at a time. So I decided to call them directly. When I explained what I wanted to do and that I had stayed there before the reservations clerk looked up my file and was more than happy to accommodate my request. What I really liked was that once he accessed my file he called me by name for the rest of the conversation. My flight arrived from Toronto (via Newark) at 7:00 am. My daughter picked me up at the airport and suggested that I go to the hotel even though it was only 8:15. I was greeted at the desk by Elvyta who welcomed me back and said that since they knew I would be arriving early they had my room ready. Did I mention that it was 8:15 in the morning! The room was a good size with a very comfortable double sized bed, a couch, two chairs a small table and a desk. There was also a small fridge. Now anyone who has been to Limerick knows that the municipal water tastes awful so having a fridge to keep water and beer in was a definite bonus. The only complaint I have about the room was the desk and desk chair. The chair was too low and to type at the desk I needed to sit on two pillows. Once suitably raised I could not put my legs comfortably under the desk and had to type with my arms outstretched. For a hotel that considers itself a business person’s hotel this is unforgiveable. The room was made-up every day and always looked very clean. The faucet on the sink needed to be fiddled with to ensure that it was completely shut off. The housekeeper did not do this so the hotel is wasting a lot of water. On the Tuesday night of my stay my daughter met me after work and we decided to have a drink in the lobby bar. It had been a particularly bad day for both of us and we were quite distracted. We left the bar without paying the bill. When I returned about an hour later I realised my mistake and went in to settle my bill. When I explained my error, the barman’s only comment was “we knew you would be back”. As I mentioned earlier I availed myself of the b&b option. They charged me an additional €5 for the breakfast. Some mornings it was buffet style while on others it was table service. The meal was always excellent with a good choice of breads and fruit to accompany the hot meal. There was also excellent porridge that I ate every day. My flight home left at 9:00 am which meant that I needed to be at the airport at 7:00. Since breakfast was not served until 7:00 I enquired about the possibility of adjusting my bill. Of course they did this with no question. All in all great service and a great room at a fantastic price. If I have call to return to Limerick there is no question where I will be staying. – Visited March 2013

“Excellent hotel” – By Cricketireland (5/5 Stars)
We stayed for one night on a Friday at the George in a superior room. Upon our arrival the check in was very smooth and efficient. We were extremely pleased with our room which was light, airy and modern. The Cupcakes and personalised greeting card that had been left in the room were very thoughtful, and this added extra surpassed my expectations. We had some expertly prepared cocktails in the bar, which had a great ambience, before heading out for the evening. The room was very quiet for a central Limerick hotel and the bed supremely firm and comfortable. We had breakfast the following morning, where we were swiftly seated in the restaurant and enjoyed a delicious cooked to order breakfast. I would certainly return to the George in Limerick. while we were there we met all limerick roses who were in for lunch and then we also met Dennis Taylor who was staying In the George ,We left the hotel feeling relaxed and pampered after having such a welcome and fantastic stay. – Visited March 2013

“One of very few hotels that gets food right” – By Simon R (4/5 Stars)
No matter how good the hotels we stay in are I’m always sceptical of eating in Hotel Restaurants. It tends to be one bad experience after another, with the only exception I’d had before my stay in the George being the Castlecourt in Westport. We stayed in the George Limerick Friday 15/02/13 and initially our intention was to eat out in Limerick but my wife suggested we look at the menu in the hotel and perhaps just sit & relax without going too far, it being our first night without kids in a long time. I reluctantly went along. I enjoyed one of the best meals I have ever been served in a hotel Restaurant, with prompt polite service and a warm atmosphere, without the loud music. Great value…. great location….. excellent food. Stayed February 2013

“Absolutely Perfect” – By Shane H (5/5 Stars)
Recently stayed here for two nights for a Christmas Party. First off it was a seriously reasonable rate for the group. The hotel itself was absolutely sensational. Right in the heart of Limerick City, with easy access to all that Limerick has to offer. The staff in the GBK are exceptional and went above and beyond to cater for our every need. There was no request to big or small. The rooms were absolutely beautiful with everything you could possibly need to feel at home. The bed was amazing and I had a great night sleep and I must admit that the hotel and rooms were the cleanest I have ever encountered in Ireland. Every member of our group had glowing references for this hotel and will be returning. Highly Recommended. Stayed December 2012

“Parents Wedding Anniversary” – By Trixibelle87 (5/5 Stars)
I booked my parents in for an overnight stay here a fortnight ago – and mentioned to the girl when booking it that they were 30 years married. When they arrived to check in they were congratulated on their anniversary, their room had a further congratulatory note with chocolates. They raved about the hotel, including their room and the staff and how well they were treated. Thank You for looking after them! Stayed November 2012
